Happy January! Today was a beautiful sunny January day here in Chase. Weather was holding steady at 1 degree all day so I decided to take Billy Goat out to enjoy the shadows and sunshine. Im working on a black and white course so todays photos are inspired from there.

Hope you enjoy!

Happy New Year Everyone!

Over the holidays I met up with Char and Mikey for a quick photoshoot at Hi Knoll Park. Char is a good friend of mine and Mikey just so happens to be my dog, Billy Goats brother. From the same litter even! Its amazing how similar but different they are. Hes a happy energetic dog with a passion for shiney things.

I just couldn't decide how I wanted the pictures to look so I played around with a few things. Hope you like the variations! Enjoy!

Where I come from

This past weekend I was on the Coast visiting the family and I decided to take a quick cruise down to my old stomping grounds. The farm where we grew up, down on 184th in the flats of Cloverdale. It was a humble life, growing up in a double wide trailer with cows and such walking around the grounds. Fruit trees in groves around us and the freedom to do as we please as we had 20 acres to explore and discover. Things have changed in the 20 years we've been gone. Our trailer is gone and replaced with a lean-to for the llamas and goats. The old "shop" is gone as is our tree swing and Grandmas veggie garden. Ah, such is life. Things change and evolve. I ventured into the barn to catch the late afternoon rays peaking thru the barn boards and I spot something in the corner. Yes! It's the old tractor! I couldn't believe my luck! I stood by the tractor and shed a few tears as I thought of my family and our past.

Here are a few photos of this day. I hope you enjoy. Thanks for stopping by.

Thank you,

Happy Fall everyone!

Just recently (yesterday actually) I did a photoshoot for a local artist here in Chase. Carolyn and Dave Good create original one of a kind claymation jewelry. Today we are showcasing their beautiful scarf jewelry and earrings.

To see more of their pieces check out

I had a blast working with these ladies! Lilian, Sarah and Laura are all friends of mine so it was easy to feel comfortable with them. We had a great time in the chilly afternoon sun but once the clouds came out, it was time to go and warm up.

Here are some photos from the shoot.

It's been a while! No excuses, I've been slacking. Not on picture taking but on blogging. I've loaded up on a bunch of new pictures I'd love to share.

Recently I went and participated in a Food Photography work shop. It was an inspiring and eye opening experiance. I was surrounded by so much talent, it was amazing. Thank you to Jasmine and Helena for putting together something special.

 I hope you enjoy them.

Day Trip

Today was the perfect day to grab the camera and go. It was rainy for a little while then the clouds parted and a few slivers of sunshine poked through.

With a full coffee cup, a full tank of gas and a full battery I was off. I headed off towards Sorrento with the intentions of going for breakfast but I soon found myself driving right past and taking a random road in the Blind Bay area. Along the way I ran into that beautiful deer. He was originally laying on the ground, I missed that shot but he stood still for me for at least a full 5 mins.

Then just like that he was off! It always pays to have your camera with you. I hope you enjoy. I know I had a great time today.

How fitting is it that for my Valentine day special, my clients name is  of all things, Valentine.

Today I had the pleasure of meeting Valentine and her sister-in-law Sarah. Tagging along were two very curious little ones but the maing subjects of the day were of the 4 legged kind.

Sasha, Sophie, Rusty and Tipper. Four very cute and very friendly engergetic dogs. I had treats in my pocket which made for a very interesting time. Sasha couldn't keep her nose out of my pocket and even managed to snag one!

I hope you enjoy the sneak peak photos I've posted for you today.

Another Valentines Day over and onto the next "holiday"

Tonight we had a little party at our girl guide meeting. We played randomly created games and had a mini dance a off. Was quite entertaining. Wish I had my camer for that!

I also go a chance to get Jess and Jon together for a little "couple" photoshoot.  We took Laker for a walk down the beach and we used the beautiful Little Shuswap as our background.

Looking forward to meeting their little bundle soon! Stay tuned for photos :)

Winter Wonderland

It's amazing to me that the weather can change so quickly!  It was only -29 the other day and here we are on Monday, sitting at plus 2!  The sun is shining and the mountains look beautiful covered in their snowy blanket.  If the sun holds out this afternoon, I may go take a few snowy shots to show off our beautiful little Village of Chase

Think I'll go round up some pups and take a few pics. Stay tuned for new photos!
